Youth Mentorship and Support Network

Status: Ongoing

Objective: Establish a network that provides mentorship and support for young individuals at risk of substance abuse.

Project Components:

Peer-to-Peer Mentoring: Pair at-risk youth with older, responsible mentors who can guide them through challenges and provide alternatives to substance abuse.

Counseling and Therapy: Offer free or subsidized counseling services to individuals struggling with issues that may lead to drug use, such as trauma, stress, or depression.

Sports and Arts Programs: Promote healthy lifestyles through extracurricular activities like sports, music, and arts that can help keep young people engaged and away from drugs.

Job Training and Skills Development: Provide opportunities for at-risk youth to acquire new skills that increase their self-esteem and offer employment alternatives, reducing the temptation of drugs as a coping mechanism.
